QotD: Why I Blog
Why do you blog?
Submitted by littleduckling.
I don't know why most people blog but I like getting my day out of me. I put up my poetry so that somebody can enjoy it as much as I do. I don't get many comments so I don't know if anybody is really reading it but I try. Poetry is a talent, I think, that should be shared. I don't know how much talent I have but I do have a lot of poems (260) that I've written. I joined a group to try and get feedback but them folks don't seem to do much of that. I think I need a critic's group. I figured who better to tell me if my poetry is any good than other poets. So much for that. I'll keep blogging till I get feedback from people that KNOW what real talent is. My wife has no idea what most of my poetry is about. Her opinion is important to me but I would like somebody that gets it to read it and give me some feedback. I seem to be affecting others around me too because my kids are starting to write poetry and they blog to me. I'm trying to get most of them on here but you know how kids can be. Oh well, that's why I blog. Soon more poetry.

Hi! I'm new and just browsing around the QotD posts. Gotta say, you have a great reason for blogging. I too love to read and write poetry and find that blogging is a fun way to share my words. :)
No problem, I'm the same way with feedback. I tell people "I don't care if you hate it...let me know so I can grow!" mine fluctuates between intense and silly...depending on my mood at the time. Mind if I add you to my neighborhood?
I missed some of your poetry when I was super busy, but I'm catching up. I even wrote a poem of my own! (I haven't written poetry since high school).
Poetry really isn't my thing, but here's some feedback.
You have a very visual descriptive style and I can often visualize exactly what you're talking about in your poems. You need to work on spelling and grammar a bit because that will turn some people off.
As I go through your other posts, I'll try to add more specific comments.
